Metaphor Proposal 3

So there have been many times when I've thought that time was fragile and that you should take it as a blessing that your here on earth every single day. My cousin whom I'm very close to was diagnosed with a brain tumor and there were times when we weren't sure she would make it, especially during the surgery and also we were scared that the tumor would always come back. Now that she is in remission and has been for a while now we got word that my other cousin was going to have to have surgery because he had a brain bleed and we were worried they were gonna have to do multiple surgeries.
The metaphor is time is fragile because it really is, you don't know when you are going to leave this earth.
The way I would create this is to have a watch, one that looks very dainty and fragile and then try to have pieces fall off indicating that time is indeed fragile.

  1. It sounds good. The metaphor sounds like it can be portrayed in a piece pretty well. I'm slightly confused as to exactly what your plan execution is, but thats your mystery lol. Excited to see it.

  2. What would you make the watch out of? Perhaps you could go to an antique mall or something and find an old clock that is made out of porcelain. Or even a series of clocks that are broken in a line and leading up to the final one that's in one piece, but also at risk of being destroyed.

  3. i like the idea. how would you display this?
would it be hanging or setting on a table?

  4. If you go to the thrift shop, they have plenty of old clocks that you can break apart. It would be cool if you could take out some of the gears and place them as though the clock burst and the insides flew everywhere
